Praise God and thank Him for the rain. Most of the county got around one inch, some more, some less. Continue to pray for rain because we really need much more.

Happy birthday to John Mutschink on June 28th, to Max Jordan on June 30th, to Daniel Victor Durst on his 5th birthday on July 1st and to Susie Jordan on July 3rd. And, a very happy anniversary to Jerald and Vondell Jordan on June 29th and also to Sam and Wendy Jordan who had their 1st anniversary sometime in June.

Continue to keep praying for healing and strength for Brucene Norton as she has therapy in San Antonio. Continue to keep Carolyn Vater, Carlita Jordan, Marilyn Kahan and Baby Trinity in your prayers. Pray for Kathy Jordan’s mother as she moves into an assisted living facility. Keep Etta Marie Mutschink on your prayer list. She reportedly had a great birthday on Sunday.

Our sympathy goes to the family of Mary Lee Thomas after her recent death. Condolences also go the family of David Eudaly after his untimely death.

Remember the Farmer’s Market and Bake Sale on Saturday, June 28th, with the proceeds going to the Mason County Food Bank. Anyone with fresh vegetables, fruit, or baked goods can contact Joyce Mutschink (347-5638) and bring them to the town square. Cash and canned foods are welcomed donations.

Rev. Krause’s proclamation titled “Acknowledge Him and Live” was based on the Gospel lesson from Matthew 10:24-34.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But Jesus died for all of us. He is the Lord of all. He is our Lord and Savior. Jesus sent the disciples to tell the good news. We are to pray that the Lord will send out the workers to reap the harvest. The disciples were warned that men would cause trouble because of his teachings. Believers would be persecuted by men because of their beliefs. But the Holy Spirit will speak through you and give you the wisdom.

Stand firm to the end and you will be saved. The evil of the world will be revealed. Jesus said: “What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops” (verse 27).

The Father loves you so much and will take care of and guide you. We are much more valuable than the sparrow which God is aware of when it falls to the ground. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He loves you.

If you acknowledge (trust and value) Him before men and confess your sins, Jesus will acknowledge you before the Father who is in heaven. Whoever denies and disowns (refuses to acknowledge as one’s own) God before men, Jesus will also deny and disown him before the Father in Heaven and he will never see Heaven.

We are on a journey toward being saved. Seek God in prayer. Give your heart to Jesus Christ and he will come into your life. Repent of your sins and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is your Lord.

Look for God in all that you do. Seek Him in your daily life. Spend time with the Lord to find out where your life should go. Ask Him to live in your heart. Make a big deal out of God every day of your life. Your complete life will be great. Share your testimony as you go through the day so that others may be touched to follow your example.

The Lord has a mighty sword (verse 34).
