School is out, and summer is here, it’s hot in Mason Texas and the City pool is open and ready for swimming. We have had some water clarity issues due to chalking of the pool surface, this is due to the age & type of surface of our City pool. We are correcting the issue and hope that you enjoy the swim. Also we would like to clarify a few things about our policy, requiring adults who bring their children under the age of 10 to the pool. This means the adult must be present at the pool either in the pool area or in the pavilion area west of the pool at all times. Your kids will not be allowed to swim unless you or their guardian is present at the pool. The life guards watch you and the kids that are swimming, they are responsible for everyone in the pool area regardless if you swim or not. Also the reason for our age limit of 10 years and younger needing an adult, we are all for the safety of our kids, so we ask that you be part of our guardians group. Now that being said, if you are there to just watch your kids you will not be required to pay but if you are swimming you must pay and sign in during your session. This is a great deal for you and our citizens and helping us keep this City Pool open.We enjoy our City Pool; it is one of the oldest in the State, and part of our heritage in Mason, Texas. We put policies in place to protect our citizens and our City Pool, we know we want to make Mason the best Home Town in Texas and this Pool and our citizens are all part of this process. If you have any questions or concerns they can the City Office at 347-6449.
