LCRA Employees' United Charities Donates to Mason County Habitat

Mason County Habitat for Humanity recently received support in building a "certified green" home in Mason County with the help of a donation from employees of the Lower Colorado River Authority.The donation came from LCRA employees through the LCRA Employees' United Charities program. LCRA employees who participate in United Charities voluntarily donate up to two hours of their pay monthly to support the program, and employee committees carefully review grant applications received to determine funding.United Charities has supported Mason County Habitat for Humanity with donations annually to build low-cost, affordable homes since their first donation in 2004. United Charities contributes more than $400,000 a year, supporting a variety of nonprofit organizations throughout LCRA's service area.
