Alta Wynell Peel Carruth

Alta Wynell Peel Carruth, Age 83, born to Beatrice (Sockwell) and Irvin Peel on December 1, 1927. She graduated from Rochelle School and married Vernon Waddill in 1946, had four children from this marriage. She then married Charles E. Carruth on September 6, 1997, and they had seven wonderful years before his death on June 7, 2004.She worked for the Brady Clinic for 25 years before she moved to San Angelo and worked several different areas there. She had a very strong love for all of the older patients that came to the Clinic during her years there.She is survived by sons, Van Waddill and wife Christine of Key Largo, Florida, Billy Waddill of Stephenville and daughter, Betty Simon and husband L.D. of Mason, sister, Clova Miller of Willis. Grandchildren, Chad Waddill, Shawna Simon Waite and husband, John, Kody Waddill, Stacey Waddill Bernal and husband, Rocky, Kendra Waddill, Brandon Waddill, Devon Waddill and Lindsey Waddill, seven great grandchildren, six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, great-grandson, Dawson Waite, husband, Charles E. Carruth and son, Freddy Waddill.Alta Wynell will be missed by many of the nurses and staff of Brady West Nursing Center, family and friends.Visitation is Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 6-8 pm Heritage Funeral Home Funeral Services are Thursday, June 23, 2011,10:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home ChapelInterment at Melvin Cemetery with Rev. Ray Ash conducting services.Memorials in lieu of flowers are asked to be made to Lighthouse Hospice of Brownwood or the American Cancer Society.
