Three summer sessions, three mornings each, for kids who like to think, and like to talk about what they think.
Texas Nature Project’s “Young Philosophers’ Summer Academy” requires no background, just an interest in thinking about … pretty much anything.
Founded on the values that we all share, such as community, active citizenship and stewardship, discussions will focus on how we make decisions and choices, ranging from how we choose friends, how we treat others, how we like to be treated, and how we figure out what to do with our time, to what to do when we just don’t know what to do!
Students will take some time to get to know each other, will get outdoors for nature discovery, journaling and sketching, will share snacks, will participate in role play scenarios and discuss how they resolve problems.
We have age-appropriate placements available throughout July. We are located 2.5 miles south of the square on Highway 87, just before Comanche Creek.
Tuition for a three-day session is $60.00. Scholarships are available. You can contact us through our website www.texasnatureproject.org, or give us a call: Jan is 832-878-4141, Sherra is 325-320-5251.
