Wednesday, June 29, 2011 • Posted June 29, 2011

As part of the Round-up weekend festivities the Mason Square Museum will raffle off a signed and numbered print by noted artist Wendell Daniel. The 1989 framed print, entitled “Summer Camp”, can be seen at the museum during regular business hours —Thursday thru Saturday—10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the museum until Saturday July 9 when the drawing will take place. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. While there, visitors can view two new exhibits on display at the museum. If they want to know where it happened or where it is in Mason, a site map of historic points of interest is on display in the gift shop and reception area. Hoo Doo War events, Indian captive sites, geological sites, and other important locations are pinpointed on the new site map. A new Mason Pioneer Family exhibit featuring the Kettner family has also been added. The exhibit documents the Kettner family’s arrival in Texas and their settlement in Mason county in the early 1850’s.
