As we celebrated our country's Independence Day, we remembered those who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we now take for granted. Those were the people who understood the difference between a right and a privilege. the United States of America is still the greatest county. The world over people risk their lives to come here, to become part of teh traditions and freedoms. They are not trying to come and change for the worse the very fabric of which this country was woven. God Bless America. We pray for rain for here and for our sister counties and states. we have had a few pop-up showers which were nice while they lasted, jus tneed some more. Those celebrating birthdays this week are John W. Sanders on the 9th (wow, a big 9 years old) and Daniel Ullrich on the 12th. Have fun celebrating your special day. e. Wayne and I heard from our son Josh that he had received his Master of Science degree. We are very proud of him and his hard work. His great wife Lorien and children supported him during his studies. Please continue to pray for Maribelle Hoerster, Katherine oock, and Deloris Wilson for health concerns; for our wonderful people Pearl Leifeste, Etta Marie Mutschink, anna Grace Durst, and Dick Pierson who are unable to be with us as much. Keep our military men and women in your thoughts and prayers as they serve and our country Stuart Jordan, Taylor slocum, amanda Adams, Josh Calhoun, Kyle Pierce, an dMatt Krause. Pastor Cliff's sermon was continued from Genesis 24 and Mathew 11. Abraham was determined to find a wife for his son Isaac, his way. This included trying to fool God (which does not happen). After sending his servant back to his former land, with God being in control, Rebekah was located and returned to be Isaac's wife. God's Will is going to be done through our prayers, right where we are. Yes, God has given us free will but God's Will will be done even in the midst of our free will. So how does that work? Have any of us ever made a bad choice? Still having to live with it? None of us can change our past but God can change what our past means for our future. Through Jesus Christ. Even when life is a struggly, Jesus can give us rest for our soul. So for all Jesus has done for us, that is why we should live like we believe the Good News of Christ's Salvation. Do everything for the Glory of God. See y'all at Roundup. Let it rain.
