Llano Fine Arts Guild Presents Stained Glass Artist, Tom Downs

The Llano Fine Arts Guild is presenting a demonstration in stained glass, by Tom Downs, for the program on Monday July 11th. The demonstration will start at 10:AM, and last until noon. Then all members and guests are invited to enjoy a covered dish lunch from noon to about 1: PM. A donation of $5 to cover costs will be appreciated.Tom Downs, stained glass artist and teacher, will demonstrate his method of working in stained glass. Downs will show the steps from beginning to completion of a stained glass project. Downs will also show the tools needed to begin working in stained glass, and will give valuable information for a successfully completed project, based on nearly twenty years of experience. The glass cross finished in the demo will be given away in a drawing to a lucky person.Downs has many stained glass items displayed in The Llano Fine Arts Gallery. He has been a membr of The Llano Fine Arts Guild since 2009. Downs was originally from Chillicothe, Ohio. He began learning stained glass after joining a class in Harlingin Texas back in 1993 He has since become a Texan and has completed several hundred beautiful lamps, plaques, vases, panels, and many other beautiful items.A business meeting will be held after the demo and lunch. The Llano Fine Arts Gallery is located at 503 Bessemer, in Llano.
