Amanda Clauson Receives Degree

Amanda Kathryn Clauson received the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA on June 3, 2011. She graduated with the Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Award for outstanding medical student women with outstanding academic achievement, the Alpha Omega Honor Society Membership, and the American College of Emergency Physicians outstanding medical student of the year award.In attendance were her parents, Dale and Sherry (Kothmann) Clauson of Crestline, California; uncle and aunts, Randy and Norma Clauson of Lake Arrowhead, California; and, Joy Clauson of Calimesa, California.Amanda has now begun her Emergency Medicine Resident Physician Program through USC at Los Angeles County Hospital, California.Amanda is the granddaughter of the late Andrew and Ida Kothmann.
