Benefit BBQ Planned for Wayne Mikeska

Former Mason resident Wayne Mikeska, son of Billy Charles and Charlotte Mikeska, recently suffered a major heart attack. He will need a defibrillator within 90 days in order to maintain his life; but, will need a complete heart transplant in order to survive.

Friends and family have organized a benefit barbecue to help raise the money needed for these medical procedures. The meal will be held at Cranky Frank's BBQ in Fredericksburg (1679 Highway 87 S) on Sunday, July 17th, 10:30 a.m. until they are sold out.

For only $8 per plate (drive-thru only), diners can get Cranky Franks famous pork BBQ, beans, potato salad, bread and dessert. All proceeds raised from the BBQ will go directly to the Wayne Mikeska Heart Fund to help offset the medical procedure costs.
