Jacob Bibb to Speak at Hilda Methodist Church
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 • Posted July 27, 2011

It has become tradition in recent years at Hilda United Methodist Church to allow the youth of our congregation to lead worship on the fifth Sunday of each month. Sunday, July 31st will be Youth Sunday, and we are excited to have Jacob Bibb filling the pulpit. Jacob has been fighting leukemia for about a year, and winning. His faith in the face of this adversity has been an inspiration to many, in fact, all who know him. Christ is the light of the world, and he is shining brightly through Jacob. Other children and youth will lead worship through liturgy and prayer. And some will bless us with special music. Then, we will make a joyful noise with our children’s handbell choir. This is when all children, visitors and members, will be able to participate in worship. There is no practice necessary and no age limit... if you can grip a bell, you can be in the choir.Worship begins at 11:00 a.m. Directions to Hilda United Methodist Church: Take Highway 87 South toward Fredericksburg about 10 miles, turn right onto Ranch Road 783 and continue about 4 miles, then turn left onto Loeffler Lane and continue on to the church.
