Biblical Cake

This recipe has been around for years, and is quite easy to make. It should be a big seller at church bake sales, particularly if you print out the recipe to go along with the cake!

Ingredients:

2/3 cup Psalms 55:21 (butter)

2 cups Ecclesiastes 5:12 (sugar)

1 cup 1st Corinthians 3:2 (milk)

6 Job 6:6 (eggs)

3 cups Exodus 29:2 (flour)

½ teaspoon Jeremiah 1:11 (almond extract)

2 teaspoons 1st Corinthians 5:6 (baking powder)

½ teaspoon Matthew 5:13 (salt)

Process:Mix in the same manner as ordinary cake, following Solomon’s advice: Proverbs 23:14 (beat well!). Pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 cake pan.Bake at 350 degrees until done, testing by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. Or use a baking thermometer; you want a reading of at least 200 degrees when measured in the middle of the cake.
