It was based on what they had learned at Vacation Bible School about the Big Jungle Adventure. The scriptures were from Exodus 1:8-2:10, Psalm 124, Romans 12:1-8, and Matthew 16:13-20.The hymns sung during the service were the favorites of Sterling Jordan, Pearl Leifeste, Johnita Bohmfalk, Clara McInnis and Ruby Toeppich. The children’s backpacks were blessed for the beginning of school on Monday.Who’s the King of the Jungle? Jesus is the King of Kings, the King of the universe and the King of all of us. The guided the Israelites out of Egypt, parted the waters of the Red Sea, destroyed the Egyptians, gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on the mountain, and led the Israelites to the Promised Land. He is the Light of the World. His light is reflected onto everyone. And we are to reflect His light onto the world. Jesus rose from the dead to save us from our sins. Now is our time to gather at the river. God will lead the way, part the water, destroy our enemies, take us to the Promised Land and be with us forever and ever. Our Heavenly Father has prepared a home for us and will welcome us to Heaven. We are the church, His church. We live in God’s Jungle. Be wild about your faith. Be wild about God. Be wild about Jesus. He is the King of the Jungle!
