On Monday, the Commissioners' Court met from 9:00 a.m. till 3:45 p.m. The City of Mason met from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Meanwhile, back at the office, the emails were pouring in and the handwritten submissions were piling up on my desk.By the time I got back to the office after the City meeting, I had enough work to take up an entire day. Instead, I left around 9:30, and returned this morning at 5:50 a.m. I finished retyping all of the hand written or typed submissions, finished typesetting the things that came in electronically, and began working on the sand mine article. That took most of the morning, as I continued dealing with late submissions, last minute questions and any number of other distractions. It is now 12:35, and I've finally gotten around to my column. And I realize that I'm out of words. I have lots of thoughts buzzing around in my head; but, I'm still so tired from yesterday, and so distracted by the fact that I'm over an hour late getting started on laying out the paper, I've found it impossible to focus enough to do justice to a topic. So, for this week, I tip my hat to everyone, wish you all a good week, encourage you to enjoy our football supplement, and will see you in this spot next week. It’s all just my opinion.
