Texas Songwriters in the Round at Sandstone Cellars Winery

On September 15th, be at Sandstone Cellars Winery, downbeat at 7PM! Gather on the old front porch of the rustic pioneer-style building and share the lovely fall weather with friends near and far! Texas music is on the move. The town of Mason Texas is preparing for the autumn harvest, apples, wine and song. The show is free and raises funds for Chemo Sabe a music non-profit that supports cancer survival thru music activities.Each month, there is a special guest, the September guest-star is Steve Brooks! Cross two famous guys named Brooks - Garth and Mel - and you get Austin folksinger Steve Brooks. His Garth side co-wrote the Slaid Cleaves classic “One Good Year,” as well as songs recorded by Americana artists like Albert & Gage, The Flyin’ As, Danny Santos and Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe. His Mel side wrote a satirical song-a-week for Jim Hightower’s nationally-syndicated radio show, as well as appearing on “I’ve Got a Secret” as six-time World Pun Champion. More than 70 stations have spun his latest album, “Chasing Grace,” produced by Chris Gage. Writes Stave Magazine, “He is simply the most clever man you’ll hear with a guitar.” You can sample his songs atwww.stevebrooks.net.TSR,continues to support the numerous songwriters who have graced the stage over the years, including Steve Brooks, Brenda Freed, Daniel Makins, Karen Abrahams and many more. The goal of TSR is to enable songwriters and their motto is “Tomorrow’s Hits Today!” Arsenault donates studio time to each “star” artist in her multi-track recording studio as well provide meals and lodging. Jerialice has been an award winning songwriter since 1980 and is also a producer and engineer in her state-of-the-art recording studio on the Llano River near Castell, Texas. A tee shirt to commemorate this season’s performances is for sale by TSR to highlight Mason County’s support of live original music and the arts. Partners on the shirt are Mason County Chamber of Commerce, Mason National Bank, RE-MAX- Believe, Keyser Country Cabin, The Thing Is, Sandstone Cellars Winery, RiverSounds Recording Resort, Brad Glass Computer Solutions, Sonia Castillo-Musician/Singer, North-side Grocery Cafe, A-List B&B Reservation Services, and Off The Square Hair Company.
