The 2011-2012 Grace Christian School Student Council anticipates a great school year. Each of the students in grades 7 through 12 will again be preparing throughout the year for the Christian Schools Finals Competition at Oral Roberts University at the end of the school year. With the assistance of several new adult volunteers, the students will be entering additional events in academics, art, music, athletics, and drama.Beginning September 15th, all students at GCS will be selling Fresh Country Cookies and Desserts in order to raise funds to attend the student convention and to assist with expenses toward educational field trips. Sales will continue until October 12th with delivery of the product expected in November prior to Thanksgiving. Anyone interested in purchasing these items can contact any GCS student or call the school at 347-5417.In addition to convention preparations, the students will be assisting with the Mason Food Bank, helping erect new playground equipment for younger students, and completing the new cafeteria. Several students and their families will be participating in the Fun Run and the Gem of the Hills 5K/10K Walk Run.
