Wednesday, July 2, 2008 • Posted July 2, 2008

The Mason Square Museum will present 2 programs about Sherr Milligan, the first sheriff, killed by hostile Indians in 1850, just north of town. Ironically his grandson , Sheriff Murray was killed by Boot Leggere in 1929, near the same location.

One program will begin immediately after the Jack Ass Race, and the second at 2 p.m..

A highlight will be the first viewing of an exact publication of the spear the killed Milligan.
