Mason 4-H Enrollment
Wednesday, October 26, 2011 • Posted October 26, 2011

Due to budget cutbacks to the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, we now have to charge a fee to join 4-H for kids in the 3rd grade and up. Kindergarten through 2nd graders are still free. Monday, October 31, 2011, will be the last day the $20.00 fee for 4-H enrollment will be in effect. As of November 1, the enrollment fee will increase to $25.00. If you want to enroll and be a member of the Mason 4-H Club please sign up as soon as possible. In order for our office to save on postage we will be removing all past 4-H members that have not signed up for this year. The 4-H experience includes many opportunities for 4-Hers. They include Foods and Nutrition, Sewing, Livestock Judging, Photography, Consumer Decision Making, Sheep, Goat, Swine and Cattle projects and numerous other events and opportunities. If you have a young person in your home that may be interested in participating in any of these events, please contact our office at 325-347-6459. If your child is showing under 4-H and not enrolled for this year he will not be allowed to participate in the County Livestock Show! Please stop by the Extension office in the Historical Building (behind the city pool) any weekday morning to enroll. We’ll mail you a form if you can’t get here!
