Mason Study Club Prepares for Chili on the Square

On Thursday, November 10th, 2011, members of Mason Study Club will hold their “Chili on the Square” fundraiser. The serving area will be on the west side of the courthouse and will begin at 11:00 a.m. continuing till 1:30 p.m. or until sold out. Menu offerings will be a bowl of chili or Frito pie, sodas, water, cookies or brownies. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Mason County Library for the purchase of new books or other items in need.Mason Study Club was organized in 1936 to first, support the Library, and secondly, support community activities. Currently, members of Mason Study Club are developing Book Buddies which is a reading program with the 1st and 2nd graders. Vondell Jordan, of Mason ISD, reports students look forward to this reading program and teachers look forward to the assistance.Mark those calendars for Thursday, November 10th, 11:00 a.m. and join us for Chili on the Square!
