JV Punchers Take on Winters... Again
Wednesday, November 2, 2011 • Posted November 2, 2011

The Mason Jr. Varsity football team fought hard against a very good Goldthwaite Eagle JV team who finished the season off with an impressive 10-0 record. The offense was well executed throughout the game, but Goldthwaite’s strong defense had two key red zone stops against the Punchers. The Punchers also had a long kick return by Louis Castillo deep into Goldthwaite territory. Great offensive efforts by Laret Hemphill, Miguel and Louis Castillo, and the big guys up front. The JV will travel to Winters for their final game of the year. The Punchers met up once with the Blizzards and came away with a win. The Punchers hope to cap off the season with a victory and a strong record of 8-2.
