Sandstone Cellars Releasing Two New Wines

Sandstone Cellars Winery of Mason will release two new wines this Saturday, November 5th at the 7th Annual Wine Release Party. The event will take place at the winery and adjacent wine bar on the southeast corner of Mason’s town square. The two dry red wines are made from 100% Mason County grapes grown in the Streeter, Camp Air and Pontotoc areas. Sandstone Cellars XI is a blend of Syrah, Mourvedre, Touriga and Viognier varietals and displays qualities typically found in French Rhone wines. The XII is nearly equal parts Tempranillo and Touriga. This wine shows spice, earthiness, flowers and blueberry notes.Alphonse Dotson and Martha Cervantes will visit the party to pour samples of their award winning “Gotas de Oro” (Drops of Gold) muscat based dessert wine. Mason’s Cocoa Luna will also be present offering samples and sales of their amazing artisanal chocolates that pair so well with Sandstone Cellars’ Texas Champion Port.Music will be provided by Patrick O. Sammons & Co. This duo will blow you away with their fresh original music. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear the talented Jon Peavy of Mason.
