The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, November 1st, for its monthly business meeting. There were 39 members and three visitors in attendance. "Boss" Lion Kirby Groves was responsible for the program, and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.The Hamburger Lunch this Friday, November 4th was discussed and workers finalized. Volunteers to help put out the U. S. flags around the square on Veterans Day, November 11th, were asked for. Fritz Landers is in charge of this project.Also, volunteers to help with the parking at the Wild Game Dinner were selected.The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, November 8th, at noon at Zavala's. The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
