The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, November 8th, for it’s regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 35 members and one visitor in attendance. Lion Jerry Bearden was responsible for the program and he talked about the proposition election.H stated that some members may have already voted; but, for those that had not, he used The League of Women Voters Guide to help explain the propositions and how they would affect our society. Jerry tried to remain as neutral and unbiased as possible, and I think everyone appreciated his program. The Hamburger Lunch was a great success and we thank everyone that participated. The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, November 15th, at noon at Zavala’s. The program chairman will be Chris Dyer. The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
