Change in County Filing Dates

As a result of a court order from a federal panel of judges in San Antonio, Texas; the NEW FILING PERIOD for the March 2012 Primary Elections has been condensed and pushed back to:

November 28 to December 15, 2011.

These changes apply to all races on the March 2012 Primary Election ballot in Texas - federal, state, county and local offices.

Local offices are listed as follows:1. 198th Judicial District Attorney;

2. County Sheriff;

3. County Attorney;

4. Commissioner Pct. No. 4 (unexpired term);

5. Commissioner Pct. No. 3;

6. Commissioner Pct. No. 1.

Those interested in filing need to contact either Robert Owen (Republican Party) or Lynn Reichenau (Democratic Party).
