Annual EMS Fundraiser
Operation Christmas Greeting
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 • Posted December 7, 2011

We invite you to support “Operation Christmas Greeting”; Mason County’s annual fundraiser for the EMS Association. For new participants, it works like this: A donation is made to the “Greeting” fund and your name is listed on a full page Greeting Card that appears in this paper’s Christmas edition on December 21st. Friday, December 16th, is the deadline to make your donation.“Greeting” accounts are set up at each of the three Mason banks. Please, use either the coupon printed here or pick one up at the bank and show the listing as you wish it to appear on the “Greeting Card”. Your check should be made payable to “Operation Christmas Greeting” and note “EMS” in the lower left hand corner of your check. Keep your coupon attached to your check as you make your deposit in person and/or mail it to the bank of your choice. If mailing, address your envelope to: “Operation Christmas Greeting”, the name of the bank (First State Bank, Mason National Bank or The Commercial Bank), Mason, TX 76856.This fundraiser was started ten years ago to help provide money that would only be used for equipment needs. Remember that Mason County has three (3) ambulances to maintain and just the basics are expensive. Through the years you have helped to either upgrade equipment to newer and better and/or to just replace the needed basic equipment. This year they are in need of replacing some of their basic equipment in order to keep it updated and current. Some of these basic items include backboards, head chucks, spider straps and all trauma equipment. As with all fundraisers, they are only as successful as the number of people that participate. All amounts add up and each donation is needed and very much appreciated. Every year the EMS personnel and volunteers make comments on how much they value your support. They add that they could never have the updated and/or specialized equipment they need without your efforts. Each year we ask for your continued support for this most worthy association. The EMS Volunteers have likely either served us or someone we love in the past. We hope to see Your Name on the Texas-Size Greeting Card. “Thank You!”
