The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, November 29th, for it’s regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 35 members and 5 visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Matt Banner and Gideon Gonzales.Lion Will Frey was responsible for the program and he told about his heart attack in 1995.Will said that, although it was a very serious situation, he found a lot of humor in all the things that happened during this time. He told about driving himself to the Fredericksburg hospital, getting "car sick" in the ambulance on the way to San Antonio, his surgery, and visits from friends afterwards. All these events were very amusing and Will said we should not take life so serious and just trust in the Lord!The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 6th, at noon at Zavala’s. The program will be the monthly business meeting.The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
