FAAHC Says, "Thank You", for Supporting the ARTS!
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 • Posted December 7, 2011

The FAAHC Fall 2011 Art Show & Sale “People’s Choice” voting produced three distinct “winners”. Hands-down favorite was Carolyn Nixon’s watercolor on “yupo” paper, titled, “Under the Sea”. An oil painting by Rosemary Davis, “Texas Landscape”, and Carol Kothmann’s clay/pottery entry, “Place Setting for Six”, also garnered substantial voting. The Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country sponsored their annual Art Show & Sale on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, 2011. Each season FAAHC members work very hard to present a variety of artists and media for the community to visit and view, with the option of purchasing original ART done by some very talented local artists. The weekend event was very well attended in spite of less than best weather. FAAHC thanks you for coming to our Show & Sale, and for supporting The ARTS in our community. The Fine Arts Association serves a four-county area, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch and Menard counties. Anyone interested in becoming a member and participating in FAAHC’s offerings of monthly programs, workshops, and creative sessions should contact Carol Kothmann, President, at 347-5598 or Judy Uherek, Treasurer at 265-4480.
