Jeanette Earlene Hegar, 68, recently of Cheraw, Colorado, and formerly of Mason, Texas, died suddenly due to stroke on December 13, 2011, in Pueblo, Colorado.She was born September 19, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to her parents, Jess E. and Rose Marie Schultz Ward.She worked several years at Super S Foods in Mason as a bookkeeper.She is survived by two children: Louis E. Hegar of Pecos, Texas; and Tracy (Cody) Downare of Los Animas, Colorado; as well as two sisters, Karen Sue Sims of Cypress, Texas, and Shirley Gilbert of Houston, Texas; and, seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie Minter.Funeral services were held on Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Horber Funeral Chapel in Las Animas, Colorado with the Rev. Amy Baker officiating. Interment followed in the Las Animas, Colorado.
