Walk 2-B-Fit Program
A Health and Wellness Program Offered by the Wesley Nurse, Ann Scarth

Help meet your New Year’s resolution for fitness by taking part in a walking program. The Wesley Nurse at First United Methodist Church invites you to take part in the free indoor walking program open to all citizens in the Mason area. The program is ideal for anyone desiring a walk program this is fitting for all ages and specific mobility needs. The goal of the program is to help participants improve and maintain endurance, balance, mobility and strength. The program provides a full body workout. Walk 2-B-Fit participants will enjoy activities that promote physical fitness, improved self esteem from achieving your fitness goals, and the camaraderie of fellow participants. With the winter’s cooler weather, the Walk 2-B-Fit program offers an alternative to outdoor fitness activities. The program is held at the Methodist Church at 224 Broad St, on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Wesley Nurse must meet with all new clients to access baseline blood pressure, weight (actual or stated) and Body Mass Index (BMI). Clients must also sign consent forms to participate. All information gathered will be kept in the strictest of confidentiality. During the class, the Wesley Nurse will carefully monitor clients for safety. The program will utilize an instructor-based exercise DVD.
