A New Facilitator for Mason ISD Mentor Program

The Mason ISD Mentor Program is under new leadership. Lisa Heath assumed this role in September and is working with Shanda Schmidt, elementary and Jr. High Counselor.Lisa is the daughter of Terry and Marilyn Keese. She graduated from Mason High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M. She also has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston and is a licensed professional counselor. Lisa taught science in Jr. High for 5 years and was a Jr. High counselor for 3 years.Lisa, and her husband, Jim, have been active participants in the mentor program since moving to Mason.The mentor program has been a large influence in the lives of many children in our school for over 12 years. It is an ongoing program that provides positive role models for the students.
