Mason Study Club News

The first spring meeting for the Mason Study Club was held on January 25th in the Stribling Room of the Library. A delicious lunch was served by the hostesses, Carol Holmes, Claudia Farenthold, Nanci Gibbons, and Sue Kaan. President Linda Kesler welcomed the members attending and introduced the newest member, Karen Olson. Judy Branch introduced Carol Conlee and Briget Langdale who presented an interesting program. Carol described how she became involved in the world of making chocolate. After working with Nieman-Marcus, Carol decided to start her own business in Mason. In the near future, we will be able to tour her additions to the Cocoa-Luna shop on the northside of the courthouse square. The members were served a sample of the exquisite chocolates.The Study Club’s members presented a $1000 check to the Library for books and other needed materials. The members making the presentation are Alberta Birk, Pam Scott, Karen Olson, Mary Scholibo, and Kathy Masterson.
