"Down The Drain With Jane"
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 • Posted July 23, 2008

I’ve a new puppy! Her name is Lady Pearl and she’s the niece of Earl! That makes me three little dogs and Z two BIG dogs!

Why do folks ask me, “Why did you get “ANOTHER” dog? Well, first of all it’s none of their beeswax! As long as they didn’t have to buy it, feed it or pickup and wipe up after it, then they shouldn’t care. However, some folks are just naturally tacky!

Even my boys and theirs don’t ask that question. Happy, #2 son, really said it when he stated that, “dogs are replacing us!” Yep, I really didn’t have the empty nest syndrome as some have had.

But, a house isn’t a home until you have children and pets. When it was just Z and I, life was “BORING!” Then I got HILDA! Z said we didn’t need a dog, but you, my readers voted that I should have Hilda and it’s all gone to the dog’s since!

Big’N and Cousin Louie look so cute riding in the Old Blue pickup with Z. With their ears a flapping in the wind and slobber streaming down and out back! They sort of go together those two and Z. Then my Chaholahola “Natcha” puts up with Z only when he has Cheese! You know Natcha’s not Z’s dog! Now, my Earl is as stubborn a pup as Z’s a grumpy old man, so they can put up with each other!

Now that Lady Pearl the Niece of Earl is with us. She’s a charmer that has already won Z’s heart! She takes naps with Z in the recliner! This could all change as she grows older and Uncle Earl tells her a few things!

But, I’m happy with “all” my dogs and so are our Docs, Dave and Andy! So, guess who thinks I’ve, too, many dogs can read the bumper sticker on the back of my car!

P.S. Having a turn at keeping grandkids, this and dogs just go together!
