Deadline Approaches for MCF Grants
Wednesday, February 15, 2012 • Posted February 15, 2012

The first grant cycle of 2012 for the Mason Community Foundation is coming soon. Now is the time for groups and organizations to apply for funding. Applications are available at the Community Thrift Store, Mon-Fri form 9:30 – 4pm. Be sure to submit your application for consideration by March 1st. You may return it to the Community Thrift Store or to Hinckley’s Country Store. All grants must meet certain criteria which are spelled out in the application. The project should benefit a segment of the Mason population or community as whole; not specific individuals. In the last several years, grants have been given for a wide range of projects, including emergency service equipment, city and county needs, and civic organization projects. Recently, the MCF funded money to Alpha Beta Psi toward a new sound system for the community, as well as seed money for the Mason Community Kitchen to get started. The next grant cycle will be in the fall. If you have any questions please call 325-347-6551 or 325-347-6824.
