Great People in Mason
Letter to the Editor

Sometimes we know we have a good thing, but we get so caught up in life we push it to the back burner. Last Saturday I was traveling through your county from San Angelo to Fredericksburg and had a flat tire on the road from Mason to Menard. Being a woman of a certain age I had a general idea of how to change a flat. The logistics were another story. As I read through the owner’s manual trying to figure out how to get the jack out of the compartment and the spare tire out from under the car, a great citizen of your town stopped and took over. A young game warden stopped as well to help with the process. I offered to pay, but nothing doing. This kind man said he just wanted to help. Thanks Shane, Officer and Mason, Texas for still being a place where people help people just because it is the right thing to do.
