Hochheim Prairie Farm Mutual Distributes Funds - News - Mason County News

Hochheim Prairie Farm Mutual's local directors presented this year's awarded organizations with their donations last week. Left to right: Barby Brunken, George Schoenfeld, Patti Grote (Mason County Library), Sherry Kusenberger (Steady Steps), Rosemary Kruckemeyer (Mason Senior Nutrition Center), Tonya Lamoreaux (The Haven); Cindy Powell (Mason Community Kitchen); and, Thom Canfield.

Every year, the local branch of the Hochheim Prairie Mutual Insurance Association receives $5.00 per member to be used for the benefit of the local community. Each policy holder is a member. Mason's branch has 400 members. This year, that amounted to $1810. $200 more was added to this to make the total $2000. The local branch decided on January 30 to gift the following organizations:

Mason Senior Nutrition Center - $700

Mason County Library - $300

Mason Community Kitchen - $250

The Haven - $500

Steady Steps - $250

Branch officers for Hochheim are: George Schoenfeld, president; Barby Brunken, vice president; Thom Canfield, treasurer.
