The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, February 14th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 29 members and four visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Amanda Hudson and Jacob Bibb.Lion Harold Hoerster was responsible for the program and introduced Kristi Nunez, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.She told about the goals for the Chamber and the things that they had accomplished this past year, including the remodeling of the office.Kristi also talked about the upcoming banquet, and had tickets for sale to anyone that wanted to attend.The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 21st, at noon at Zavala’s. The program chairman will be a surprise.The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
