Wednesday, July 23, 2008 • Posted July 23, 2008

A reminder that Mason County Habitat for Humanity will begin homeowner application workshops this weekend. The next home to be built will be House #7 in the Mason community. Although the actual construction will not begin until next spring, there’s lots to do ahead of time and the partner family who is selected this fall will be able to begin earning sweat equity hours immediately!

To qualify in our local program, a typical family of four would have an income within the $14,900 TO $24,820 range, with some variation as number of members in the family application is increased or decreased.

The schedule for the application workshops is as follows:

Saturday July 26 from 10 a.m. –11:30 a.m.

Tuesday July 29 from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Saturday August 2 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Tuesday August 5 from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Saturday August 9 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

These workshops will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church located at 325 W. College and each applicant is required to be on time and to attend two sessions. For more information, call the Habitat office at 347-9591.
