Fredonia Hosting a Homecoming Festival

Are you a former resident of Fredonia Texas? Do you have family that were former residents of Fredonia? Are you a friend of Fredonia? All current and former residents of Fredonia and all supporters of the community are invited to attend a Fredonia Homecoming Festival on April 21, 2012.The event begins at 10:00 am. Join us and register your name in our family genealogy. This is your opportunity to reacquaint yourself with old friends and neighbors with roots in Fredonia. Schools, businesses, and churches once thrived here. Bring photos, information, and stories to share. All information gathered will be used to create an updated Fredonia history. The event will be held in the former Church of Christ building next to the Fredonia Store. Enjoy a catered BBQ lunch for $12 per plate. Advance tickets are recommended and may be puchased via mail. Send your payment and information to Fredonia Community Association, PO Box 3, Fredonia TX 76842. There is no admission for attending. Meeting and making new friends are only part of the fun. Fredonia welcomes you with live entertainment, and an array of arts and craft booths to shop and tantalize your taste palate. Join our auction for collectibles from local artists and gem makers. Featured are a 7 carat Lone Star cut topaz donated by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Goff, a painting from Jean Alexander a local Mason county artist, and other collectibles.
