Reuben Lee Capps, 81, long time resident of Snyder, Texas, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in Midland, Texas.Memorial Services will be held at a later date in the Clairemont Cemetary under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home, Snyder, Texas.Reuben was born to Walter Eldridge and Sarah Margaret (Durham) Capps on June 26, 1930, in Voca, Texas. He graduated from Jayton High School in 1948 and joined the U.S. Army serving a two year tour of duty. He attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas and worked for Southwest Bell Telephone Company. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University Seminary in Chattanooga, TN, with a Master’s Degree in Theology.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Capps, one sister, Mary Ellen Capps and four brothers William Capps, Douglas Capps, Malcolm Capps and David Capps. Reuben is survived by his former wife Barbara Brommers of Waxahachie, TX, eight children, sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Reuben is also survived by two sisters Kathy & Jack Clarke of Thorhild, Alberta, Canada, and Celia Irene Dodd of Fredericksburg, Texas.
