Trip takes Mason to 26-1 Victory

The Punchers beat Medina 26-1 Saturday behind both the bat and the arm of Austin Trip. Trip got a hit in each of his three at bats. Trip singled in the first, second, and third innings. Medina was unable to make good contact against Trip. Medina managed just one hit off of Trip, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his three innings of work. Twenty-three runs in the opening three innings allowed Mason to easily put away Medina. A steal of first that let to a pass ball by Chance Stockbridge and a two-run double by Bodie Adams in the first inning and , an RBI double by Stockbridge, an RBI single by Trip, a pass ball scored Trip, an error, and in the second inning fueled the Puncher offense early. Mason easily handled Medina pitching as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 17 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Mason ran wild on the basepaths, finishing with eight steals.
