Riata Service Organization News

Twenty nine Riata members met at the home of K.K. Brannies. Michele Derrick, jewelry appraiser from Young’s Jewely in Brady, told of the importance of getting jewelry appraised. Judy Cordes, Vice President, introduced our guest speaker, and conducted the meeting. Tickets for the Riata Luncheon were passed out by Deann Gregg. Tickets can be bought from Riata members. Plans for Riata Luncheon were discussed & recipes for the May 9 luncheon were distributed. Riata appreciated the community’s support of their rummage sale. The money Riata makes goes back into our community. C.J. Reardon had gotten an estimate to install a drip system at Heritage Park, and Riata voted to install a drip system for some of the trees at Heritage Park. K.K. Brannies and Joan Whitaker were hostesses. Delicious refreshments were served. Riata’s next meeting will be held April 24, 2012.
