Blue Lake Nanny Goat Invitational
Wednesday, April 4, 2012 • Posted April 4, 2012

Blue Lake WGA hosted the annual Nanny Goat Invitational on Tuesday, March 27th at the Blue Lake Golf Club. There were golfers from Austin, Mason, Burnet, Bandera, Georgetown, Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Lago Vista, Kingsland & San Antonio. The theme this year was “Wear Your Easter Bonnet”. In keeping with this theme there was an Easter Bonnet contest. Before golf the ladies paraded their bonnets before the judges. There were some very creative creations. Winners of the contest were Betty Houghton for the prettiest…miniature nanny goats tucked among a field of pastel flowers. Donna Teets won for the cleverest with “bunnies run amok”. Kudos to the WGA committee! The tournament was picture perfect from the decorations to the food and ideal weather. Even the Blue Lake guys pitched in as bag boys and spotters…not to mention the course was in tip-top shape. Here are the results of the tournament.
