Tenth Habitat for Humanity Home to be Dedicated Friday, May 20
Wednesday, April 18, 2012 • Posted April 18, 2012

The tenth Habitat for Humanity home built in Mason is completed and will be dedicated at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 20. The house is located at 603 Brazos. This year’s partner family is Julie Garcia and her son Isaac.

Once again, the home has been built using the latest energy saving technology and building methods and is “Energy Star” certified. MCHFH is one of the few Habitat affiliates in Texas that build energy efficient homes.

Mason County Habitat is a Christian ministry dedicated to building safe, affordable homes for families that might otherwise be unable to buy a home. The home is sold to the partner family at cost with a low or no interest rate loan.

The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony and tour the new home. Building supervisor Keith Kaan will be on hand to answer questions about the energy saving features of the house.
