The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 17th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 36 members in attendance.

Lion Mark Lehmberg was responsible for the program and introduced Vondell Jordan and Tammy Parrish who spoke about the "Leader in Me" program.

The "Leader in Me" program is a school-wide leadership development process for both students and staff members, of which The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a foundational piece. It integrates timeless leadership principles into school culture, driving transformational results.

The will be an informational meeting at the Mason Elementary/Junior High Library, Monday, May 14, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. All are invited to come learn more about this program.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, April 24th, at noon at Zavala’s. The program chairman will be Roger Luckenbach.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
