Punchers are District Champs

Mason jumped out to an early lead on Menard and captured a 15-2 victory on Friday in Mason.

Fifteen runs in the first three innings allowed the Punchers to put the game away early. A two-run error, an RBI double by Drigo Martinez, a walk by Elliot Bibb, a walk by Jake Newsom, and a walk by Miguel Castillo during the first inning and an RBI single by Martinez, an RBI single by Newsom, an RBI single by Chance Stockbridge, and an error in the second inning helped Mason put some runs on the board early.

Martinez racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Punchers. Castillo racked up 11 strikeouts in the Puncher win. Castillo allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over five innings.
