The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 24th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 29 members in attendance.

Lion Roger Luckenbach was responsible for the program and "Boss" Lion Kirby Groves introduced Vicki Ritter with the Eckert-James River Bat Cave, who spoke about the many experiences she has had over the last several years that she has been the bat cave steward.

She talked about he many types of wildlife that can be observed at the Bat Cave while she showed a slideshow of wildlife and wildflowers that her daughter, Jana, had taken at the cave. This was a very interesting program.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 1st, at noon at Zavala’s. The program will be the monthly business meeting.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
