The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, May 1st, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 29 members in attendance.

#2 Boss Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and introduced Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

Jess Irwin was inducted into the Mason Lions Club by Lion Gaylon Thorn. Jess' sponsor, Lion Pat Reardon, placed the official Lions Club pin on Jess' lapel. Welcome to the club, Jess!

Lion Fritz Landers gave some information about 'May Day.' The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 8th, at noon at Zavala’s. The program chairman will be Melvin McCallum.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
