May Meeting of the Mason Garden Club to Feature Native Plants

The May meeting of the Mason Garden Club will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library Stribling Room.

Guest speaker will be Hazel McCoy with the Goldthwaite Garden Club. Hazel will be presenting a program on "Native Plants." She has been a member of the Goldthwaite Garden Club and Texas Garden Clubs, Inc., for many years, serving as state president in the 1980s. She is a master flower show judge, and owned a nursery for many years.

The garden club members have been working in the library flowerbeds and will be replanting the front flowerbeds of the library this week. Anyone interested in gardening is invited to attend this meeting. For more information, please call Sherie Clarkson at 347-5762.
