I just had to let yall know that I believe the Puncher baseball team is awesome. I saw a side of the Punchers that I haven’t seen since we played Ganado in football.

This past Friday, we played a quarter final game against Kennedy. Our bats came out on fire. Chance blasted one way out to the center field wall, and the Kennedy wall began to crumble. However, Kennedy didn’t roll over. In the 5th inning, Winston made a throwing error, which in itself is almost unheard of.

Things began to feel somewhat shakey. Kennedy managed to get 3 unearned runs altogether. Then the Ganado thumping gang returned. The Punchers had a powwow and what ever was said was not good news for Kennedy. Austin walked out to the mound for the sixth inning, Winston got behind the plate; the rest of the Punchers took their positions and said, “it ain’t happening; no more runs”. Now Kennedy knows how Ganado felt.

When a Championship football quarterback takes the mound on the baseball field, well, just ask Kennedy. Awesome no hitter Austin. Go Punchers! Be there Thursday in Georgetown. The Punchers are marching up I-35 again.
