Darden Smith will return to Mason this Saturday May 26 for an encore performance. His dozen critically acclaimed albums weave together rock, pop, country folk and Americana influences with the musical roots of his home state of Texas.

Darden’s first album Darden Smith (1988) produced two country chart hit singles, “Little Maggie” and “Day After Tomorrow.” His time with Columbia Records yielded Trouble No More in 1990 featuring “Midnight Train” and “Frankie & Sue” which earned frequent airplay on Triple-A radio and guest appearances on Late Night with David Letterman and other TV shows.

Three years later, Smith released Little Victories which included theTop 10 pop hit single “Loving Arms.” With Marathon, his most recent release, Smith pushes into new territory, delivering a sweeping collection of songs that captures the stark panorama of the West....
